Volumizing Filler is a revolutionary wrinkle treatment and injectable filler used for wrinkle reduction and removal.
Radiesse injections are administered by our Medical Director, A. Morgan, M.D, FRCP(C). During the administration, Dr. Morgan uses self-developed topical freeze to minimalize the feeling of needles.
Radiesse® is a safe, FDA-approved dermal filler that is used primarily to treat areas of the face with obvious signs of aging. By helping to rebuild your skin’s foundation, it can restore a more youthful look. Results are visible immediately after the injection and can last for months or years, although the procedure can be repeated as often as you wish. Radiesse is a longer-lasting filler that leaves a matrix of collagen and microspheres that your body reacts to and helps fill deficiencies, thereby stimulating your skin to produce more of its own collagen in the treated area.
Radiesse® injections may be used in an array of treatments ideal for correcting the signs of aging or adding natural contours to the face – without invasive surgery.
Areas of treatment
Radiesse is very versatile for restoring the lost volume in your skin or even augmenting the areas that are naturally depressed.
- Correcting nasal labial folds
- Correcting marionette lines
- Reducing the appearance of scars
- Contouring the nose
- Restoring volume to sunken cheeks
What to Expect with Radiesse Treatment
Our treatments are performed directly by Dr. Morgan and are done in the office after a thorough consultation with patients. During the consultation, we review the patient’s medical history carefully to make sure that the patient does not have any existing medical condition or is not taking any medication that may cause an adverse reaction with this treatment. The whole procedure of injecting Radiesse® dermal fillers lasts only for about half an hour or less depending on the size of the treatment area. The procedure itself doesn’t hurt much, but a topical anesthetic may be applied to the treatment area 20-30 minutes before the procedure to ensure patient comfort. Radiesse® dermal fillers are injected deeper into the skin compared to hyaluronic acid-based fillers because it has a thicker consistency and produces more plumping with every injection. After the treatment session, patients can go about their daily lives immediately. There may be a little bit of redness, bruising and swelling around the treatment area. These side effects are common among dermal filler injection treatments and usually resolve on their own. Ice packs or cold compress can be applied to the treatment area immediately after the procedure to minimize the chances of swelling or bruising to occur.
